History

Bardia was created in 2011 from the southern portion of Edmondson Park. It comprises all the area east of Denham Court, south of Campbelltown Road, and north and west of the Hume Highway.  It was named in honour of the successful taking of Bardia in North Africa during World War II and means magnificent or high in status.

Bardia was one of the first Precincts to be planned in the South West Growth Centre. Bardia straddles Liverpool and Campbelltown Council Local Government Areas (LGAs). Ideally located west of the Hume Motorway which allows for direct access to other areas and regions of Sydney.
